Let’s start with the base products, first one is the Fit Me Foundation in the shade 220. Now when I tried it on the first time I loved it and seemed to match my skin tone really well but then the second I didn’t feel the same way. I started mixing the Fit Me with my Mac Studio Fix to get a better colour match and it seems to be working fine. I do love the consistency of this foundation so I would recommend it if you can find your shade, which is so hard here in the UK because we don’t have a wide selection. I prefer applying it with a beauty blender, just feels patchy when I apply it with a brush.
Staying with the Fit Me range the next product is the Fit Me concealer in the shade 20. I heard a lot about this concealer and it lived up to the expectations. It was in my March Favourites because I literally used it every single time I put make up on. I was already a big fan of the Age Rewind concealer and not this. I love them both. The Fit Me concealer is quite creamy and blends out really well. I do put powder over it to stop it from creasing but I haven’t had any problems so definitely recommend this product.
The last base product is the 24hr Color Tattoo in the shade Creme de Nude. Now I have heard so many bloggers say it’s a dupe for the MAC painterly paint pots. When I tried it for the first time I thought that too. For the price of these you are getting a good quality product but I don’t know if this colour is a match for me. Not going to lie the first time I used it I did go a little over board, maybe ha. I think it does its job to neutralise my eyes but I do want to try some other colours to see if I find a better match. Any recommendations?
And now for eye products… I was running out of the previous eyeliners I was using so I thought why not try the Master Ink Matte eyeliner. I always hear KaushalBeauty rave about this product so I went for it. Not going to lie I was blown away by intensity of it. The applicator is amazing, it’s not too stiff and not too flimsy. I don’t really double dip either unless I’m doing a bigger wing. The only thing I don’t agree on is the claim about it being smudge proof. I did smudge it all over my face once… I know that’s my fault but still would prefer it to stay on for most of the day. Even with that one down side I still love this product and would definitely recommend buying it.
I like pairing the eyeliner with a new favourite mascara of mine! It’s The Falsies Push up drama mascara. This was another one of my March favourites, I literally wore it every time I put make up on. It even looks good with no make up looks. It lengthens and curls my lashes and stays in place all day. Another great product I would recommend.
If you know me, you’ll know brows are important to me. And lately I haven’t been doing much to them because I was trying to grow them out, I don’t really like growing them out because I hate it when my brows look messy. Anyways so I did get this product a little while ago but I thought I’d include it, its the Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in the shade medium brown. It’s basically brow gel that you can use over your other brow products or on its own. It just keeps your brow hairs in place all day. I love using this when I have a long day because I know I won’t have to worry about my brow messing up. What’s your favourite brow gel?
The last product on my list is this the Dream Blender. It came out the same time as the Dream Velvet Foundation, I couldn’t find the right shade for me so I decided to try the blender out instead. I shouldn’t have. If you haven’t tried it don’t waste your money on it. I was so disappointed. The sponge is really hard for starters and I thought the handle might be an interesting concept but it’s not. It also soaked up a lot of my foundation when I used it for the first time and didn’t clean properly either. I don’t recommend this product at all.
So that was it for my Maybelline product review, hope this kind of helped. I do love Maybelline, it’s one of the best drugstore brands. Let me know what product you love down below and any recommendations.
