I wanted a Chanel and YSL lipstick for ages and never got round to actually buying any until now. Before buying I did however, make sure I loved the colour. I didn’t really want to spend money on a lipstick then only wear it once. It’s safe to say I love both of these.
I obviously looked for the matte shades when I was looking for which one to buy, so I went for the Rouge Allure Velvet collection in the shade no.38 was most suited for me. It was the most deepest red out of all of them there and I prefer deeper reds. It does look darker in the tube and I wish it was as dark when you apply it but I still like the colour, as you can tell from the picture above it has been loved already, ha.
Another thing I am in love with is the packaging. You can just tell from looking at it that it’s high end. Very classy and chic.
The YSL lipstick was harder to choose for me because the reds in their matte collection we either too orangey or too pinky for me. But I managed to settle on the shade 203 in their Rouge Pur Couture The Mats range. I still think this colour has a little bit of an orangey undertone but not as much as the others. I’m really going to love this colour in the summer, can’t wait to wear it. The packaging for this lipstick is amazing too, the gold just adds that high end feeling to it.
I would recommend both of these lipsticks. Check out both ranges. Let me down below if you have any Chanel or YSL lipsticks and the shades.
